redundant was our first group exhibition- the word redundant was a structuring impetus - themes can often be restrictive, but this limitation served as a stimulus for the group with varying interests and practices to come together.

The artworks in the exhibition touch on the various connotations of this term; excessive, repetitious, surplus to requirement, extravagant, unwanted.

Each of the five artists have responded in different ways and these responses have culminated in a series of works that include video, sound, sculpture, installation and publication.
